Dominion Southpark will host the Crater Antique Car Club for a classic car display and car show at the dealership in Colonial Heights, just behind Southpark Mall. The 3rd Annual Paw Paw Classic will feature antique vehicles from 1990 and older. Trophies will be given in 10 classes, including Best of Show and specialty awards. For spectators, the event is free and open to the public. The event will include a raffle and bake sale as well as concessions. Classic car owners in Central Virginia are invited to bring their own vehicles to add to the event and compete in the show. Registration is $15 through September 1, and $20 from September 2 through the day of the show. Please contact Jeff Malo, Crater Antique Car Club, at 804.272.0579 to reserve a spot.

On the 8th, Dominion will also host a free car seat safety inspection from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. In conjunction with the local Communities for SafeKids chapter, certified local fire, police, and rescue personnel will be on hand to inspect individual seats. Attendees are encouraged to bring their child to the event, to ensure seat installation and requirements are age- and size-appropriate for the child using the seat. Reservations are recommended, otherwise attendees will be handled on a first-come, first-served basis. Individual inspections take an average of 20 minutes per seat.
